Introduction
Welcome to my site!
I am an artist and art educator living and working in beautiful North Yorkshire, creating atmospheric abstractions from landscapes. I am particularly drawn to the lines we find in landscapes and these provide structure in my work.
Fine Art trained, I work with oil paints and mixed media approaches, drawing, painting and experimenting to convey layers and light.
Alongside my own practice, I love teaching and supporting others to develop their artistic voice, finding confidence in their creativity.
Unit 4 Art Studio
With over 30 years teaching experience, I am a passionate art educator and believe firmly in the restorative power of creating and making art. It has been a long held dream to manage a studio where people can come and create art in a safe, secure and inspiring environment, feeling fully supported in their creativity. The studio is located just outside Ripon, North Yorkshire and is a fantastic space for anyone on the journey of making art to come, explore and experiment and develop their own art practice
My mantra is flexibility and individuality - I want to support you to be the best artist you can be - when it suits you.
At the studio, we offer a range of different painting and drawing courses as well as studio space for you to develop your own work independently.
