Introduction
Welcome to my site!
I am an artist and art tutor living and working in beautiful North Yorkshire.
Fine Art trained and inspired by the environment around me, I create layered oil paintings responding to the light, layers, colour and texture of my surroundings.
With many years teaching experience, I also offer specialist tutoring, specifically aimed at helping others find and define their artistic voice.

I love teaching and supporting others to develop their own art, finding confidence in their creativity.
I teach courses, workshops and individual sessions at my studio, just outside Ripon, North Yorkshire.
With over 30 years teaching experience, I am a passionate art educator and believe firmly in the restorative power of creating and making art.
At the studio, I offer specialist tuition and masterclasses as well as a range of different painting and drawing courses. Studio space is also available for you to develop your own work independently.
Individual requirements and group options are also available. Specific group packages can be arranged for up to 6 people - ideal for art groups or friends and family wishing to connect (or reconnect) with their art making in a beautiful, supportive setting. You will have access to a wide range of materials and equipment as well as personalised tuition and support.
